Purpose
The New Caregiver Mobile App is being developed to provide caregivers with a more modern, intuitive, and reliable mobile experience while supporting key field workflows such as visit verification, documentation, communication, scheduling, forms, and notes. This article provides an overview of the planned functionality that has been previewed to agencies and outlines the primary caregiver workflows available in the upcoming release.
Important: The screenshots shown in preview materials are based on a version of the application that is still under active development. Workflows, screen layouts, and visual elements may change before general availability.
Overview of the Caregiver Mobile App
The Caregiver Mobile App is designed to support the caregiver's full field workflow, including:
Account activation and login
Visit clock-in and clock-out
Task completion
Signatures
Care documentation
Family communication
Open shift management
Break tracking
Incident reporting
Forms completion
In-app messaging
AI-assisted documentation
The Shift Details screen serves as the primary hub for most visit-related activities. From this screen, caregivers can access tasks, signatures, notes, breaks, incidents, and forms associated with their visit.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
Before a caregiver can use the mobile app:
The caregiver record must be created in the Agency Web Portal.
The caregiver will receive an activation email containing:
Agency ID
Username
OTP
Activation link
The caregiver must set a permanent password.
The caregiver must install the Caregiver Mobile App on their mobile device.
The caregiver must log in using their activated credentials.
Account Activation and Login
Activate a New Account
Open the activation email received from your agency.
Record the Agency ID, username, and temporary password.
Select the activation link provided in the email.
Create a new password.
Open the Caregiver Mobile App.
Sign in using your credentials.

Biometric Authentication
Depending on device settings, caregivers may be prompted to authenticate using:

Starting a Visit
Clock In to a Scheduled Shift
Log in to the Caregiver Mobile App.
Review scheduled visits displayed on the Dashboard.
Select the appropriate shift.
Be in the correct location at the appropriate time.
Tap Clock In.

Working Within a Shift
After clocking in, the caregiver is taken to the Shift Details screen.

Complete Assigned Tasks
Tasks help document care activities completed during a visit.
To Complete Tasks
Open the shift.
Navigate to Tasks.
Review assigned tasks.
Update task status.
Submit completed information.

Capture Caregiver and Client Signatures
Signatures help verify visit completion and required acknowledgements.
To Collect Signatures
Open the shift.
Select Caregiver Signature.
Complete the signature process.
Select Client Signature.
Capture the client's signature as required.
Request Open Shifts
Caregivers can view and request available open shifts.
To Request an Open Shift
Open Shift Calendar.
Select Open Shifts.
Search available shifts.
Submit a request for the desired shift.
View Agency Messages and Announcements
Banner Messages
Agencies can publish banner images that appear in the mobile app to communicate important announcements or updates.

The app includes in-app messaging capabilities that provide another communication channel between agencies and caregivers.
n.b. a determination has yet to be made about the cost, if any, of this feature.
Create an Ad-Hoc Schedule
Ad-hoc schedules support work that may not originate from a planned assignment.
To Create an Ad-Hoc Schedule
Select Ad-Hoc Schedule.
Complete the required information.
Submit the schedule.
Add Documentation During a Visit
Care Notes
Care Notes allow caregivers to document care-related observations and visit information.
To Add Care Notes
Open the shift.
Select Care Notes.
Enter documentation.
Submit the note.
Notes for Family
Notes for Family allow caregivers to communicate visit information intended for family members.
To Add Notes for Family
Open the shift.
Select Notes for Family.
Enter information.
Submit the note.
Log a Break
If break tracking is enabled by the agency, caregivers can record break activity during the shift.
To Log a Break
Open the shift.
Select Log Break.
Choose the break type.
Enter duration.
Submit.
Report an Injury or Incident
Caregivers can document incidents that occur during service delivery.
To Submit an Injury or Incident
Open the shift.
Select Injury/Incident.
Enter incident information.
Attach supporting details, if applicable.

Client Forms
Client Forms are visit-specific forms that can be completed from the Shift Details screen.
To Complete a Client Form
Open the shift.
Select Client Forms.
Choose the form.
Complete required fields.
Submit.
Caregiver Forms
Caregiver Forms are accessed outside of a specific visit and may be used for general documentation.
To Complete a Caregiver Form
Open the application menu.
Select Caregiver Forms.
Choose a form.
Complete required information.
Submit.
AI-Assisted Notes
AI-Assisted Notes help caregivers improve documentation before submission.
To Use AI-Assisted Notes
Open the shift.
Navigate to Notes.
Enter text or dictate a note using speech-to-text.
Select Improve.
Review the suggested changes.
Make edits as necessary.
Submit the final note.
Always review AI-generated content before submitting documentation to ensure it accurately reflects the care provided.
Completing the Visit
Clock Out
After all required documentation has been completed:
Return to the shift.
Select Clock Out.
Complete any required visit information.
Submit the clock-out.
Language Preferences
Caregivers can change the application's language settings from their profile.
To Change Language
Open Profile.
Select Language Preferences.
Choose the desired language.
Save changes.
