If the agency already has a Checkr account, then they need to choose "Sign In" to link it with CareSmartz360. If they are new to Checkr, then they need to complete the required fields, click "Sign Up" to create a Checkr account.

Next, the agency is required to input their payment details, i.e either credit card or bank information. Invoices for background checks will be issued directly by Checkr, not by CareSmartz360.

Choose "Finish Sign Up" to submit your account for review by Checkr. After the credentialing process is finished, both CareSmartz360 and the agency will be notified to start syncing background check data using the CareSmartz360 platform.

Once connected to Checkr, then agency would be required to go back to CareSmartz360 and click on “Refresh” . On click of the refresh button the below screen would be displayed to the users.

If the agency has registered for a new Checkr account, it’ll notice that the account is linked but not yet authorized. Please note that the credentialing process may take 24-48 hours. The agency would be notified once it's complete.

Once the agency is connected and authorized, it must ensure it grants privileges to the specific role(s) under role management to enable the user(s) to access and initiate background checks.

Once the CareSmartz360 and Checkr accounts are linked and credentialed, the agency needs to find the profile of the caregiver for whom they wish to run a background check.

In the caregiver’s profile a Background Check tab has been added.

The tab leads to the "Background Check" screen for the caregiver.

On the Background Check screen, the agency needs to click "Order Background Check", then needs fill out the "Invite Candidate" form with the package details, email, and phone number. Once done, click "Submit".

Once the background check is initiated, the status will be updated to "invitation sent". From this screen, you can track the background check status for the caregiver.

Also, on the Background Check screen, you can view the Background History, which provides details of all background checks conducted on the caregiver.

Once the report status changes to Complete, the agency needs to click on the timestamp hyperlink and then it would be redirected to their Checkr Dashboard to review the complete report.

If the agency disables the instance in the Checkr Dashboard, the integration with CS360 will also be disconnected.
